A misfire was eventually (3rd trip to the dealer) diagnosed after the plugs and wires were checked, an injector was replaced, and finally a burnt valve was discovered. The head was removed resurfaced and re installed. Just to add the turmoil I have been going through, when I got he vehicle back the A/C would not work, back to the dealership... After the 3rd trip back to the dealer, the system was recharged, next day no A/C again, back again next it was determined the the compressor is bad?? Keep in mind the A/C was working just fine before the engine work... Now on start up, cold and sometimes warm the engine sounds like it doesn't have a drop of oil in it, or a diesel engine. Metal on metal sounds, vibrations, clunking, which sound like they are coming from the heads. Along with that the engine has developed an noticeable ticking sound. Also the engine sounds strained when I turn the wheel and their is noticeable tension in the steering wheel. Back to the dealer I go...... I was just informed that the start up noises are normal, the ticking sound is injector pulse and normal and my steering pump is bad! My engine did not have any of the noises before the latest round of work was completed on my vehicle and the steering was just fine as well. What the ****? I want my engine to sound the way it did before they worked on it and why is it every time work is done on my vehicle a part coincidentally goes bad? Does this situation sound right?
