We have updated results for the Lambdas based on owner experiences through September 30, 2010.

Other sources of car reliability information won't cover the months since April until the summer or even fall of next year.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2010: 35

2009: 67

2008: 85

2007: 94

The 2010 is better than average, while the others are all about average.

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds," to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop.

With the Lambdas the percentage with no repairs is about 36 for the 2007, 47 for the 2008, and 59 for the 2009, and while the percentage of lemons is about 4 for the 2007, about 7 for the 2008, and about 4 for the 2009.

My 2008 Saturn Outlook is a Lemon with severe electrical issues and has been serviced over 30 times. Recently 7 times in the past 6 months with burning, melting, and a wide randge of electrical issues. GM is not honering my warranty @ playing games. I am now faced with filing a lawsuit under NC Lemon Law. I have found any Outlook and Acadia owners with the same electrical problems as well... I have started a group on facebook. Its open to the public " Saturn - GM Outlook & Acadia LEMONS " Please join....

Welcome! :blob:

The remote start will not work if your check engine light is on. You mentioned no problems other then the remote start, so I have no other idea.

@Lelo, what avenues have you pursued to getting the remote start resolved?

I had to drive my Sister In Laws 2012 Lincoln MKX yesterday and despite all the bells and whistles it could not hold a candle to our Outlook. The Outlook is quicker, better ride and more comfy, didn't expect that.

I miss some things about our Outlook, steering feel is the big one (that Prius steering is numb!), but given only a 50/50 chance of having a repair-less year and a high problem rate now on the 2010s, I'm kinda glad it's gone.

Same numbers on our 2007 Prius:

Repair frequency - 24
Nada / Lemon odds - 80, 0
