This "issue" may have been beaten like a dead horse already, but hey, I think I will share my problem as well..
Service Traction Control, service stabletrac error message pops up every once in awhile, sometimes while going around a corner, once in awhile while driving in a straight line....the other day the check engine light came on, didnt notice any performance issues, drove normally. Got home, scanned it and got a P0021 code, "Intake camshaft position timing, over-advanced (bank 2) I talked to a buddy of mine at GM and this is what he sent me.
"LY7 Malfunction Lamp, If routine diagnostics using SI does not reveal any obvious cause, reprgram the ECM using the latest calibration, Revised engine calibration has been developed to address these issues." Codes p0011, p0014, and p0024 also fall under this bulletin
Now, he also asked me if I replaced the oil lately, which I had the day before, apparently this code may also manifest if the engine has no oil in it. Another cause I'm told is camshaft acuator, or timing chain.....MAP sensor, low brake fluid? (Not sure about that one)
Anyways, cleared the code, have been driving for almost a week now, hasnt come back, but the "service traction control" crap came back last night, but then went away. Anyone else have THE fix, or think they have it?
