Hi.
I had the dreaded wave plate failure and had it repaired at my local transmission shop in January.
Then I received the recall notice and submitted my paperwork through mail in April since the dealer would not respond to mine or to Saturn's customer service calls.

I still have not received any check or aknowledgment yet.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

If I am not mistaken, the repairs have to be done at a GM dealership.

Not necessarily. I was reimbursed for a job done at an Independent transmission shop.
But then they stopped the check because I was over the extended warranty mileage, not because it was at a non GM approved shop. I guess it depends upon the dealer how fast they pay, I received my check in less than a week, and they stopped payment a day later.

Why would GM reimburse you for someone else's work??
