Time and Cost to replace water pump? Dealer ripping me off?

I have a 2007 Saturn Outlook with 48k miles. The water pump went out and the dealer is quoting me $608 to replace it. Sounds like a lot since the part is less than $200 and the labor looks like it takes about 2-2.5 hours.

The car is 1 month out of the Powertrain warranty (kills me that stuff is going bad with LESS than 50k miles on it) and GM doesn't want to cover.

Anyone else had this done and can tell me if this cost is out of the norm?

Glad I found this thread and others. Took the Outlook in for defroster issue. The blower works but air is not coming out of the defroster vents. They said a reprogram should fix that. It doesn't have a sunroof so the blower motor should be fine.
They found coolant seepage while they were looking at it and recommended a new water pump. We bought it in September 08 so it's 4 months out of warranty! The service tech called GM and GM said they would cover half. The service tech is going to see if she can get GM to do a little better.
so youre past 120,000?

the water pumps have an extended warranty on them.
10 yrs or 120,000 miles.
yup... you should be covered...

but yeah== wow- 36,000 miles on an 08.
