I am undecided on what size to put on the 9 inch wide rims.
255 55 20 or 285 50 20.
Has anyone used the 285's ? Any issues with scrubbing?
I need an answer fast as they are shipping my rims Friday from tire rack
I have 22" rims with a 9.5 width with 30 mm offset. They tried 305's at first and it filled the wheel nicely but it was way to close to wheel well. I'm riding 265 40 22"s with no rubbing issues at all. I 'd like 45 series sidewall hieght but I was afraid it would rub. The 20"s will look good with the right tire but If you can, go for a little more width to give it that strong stance if you can. Also make sure the tire is as wide or wider than the rim or else you'll be nervous everytime you park. I already rubbed the curb once and it was a chilling sound you never want to hear.
