Transmission Needs Rebuilding at 110k

Well, as many others with the 2007-2009 Lambda, my 2008 Outlook transmission started having trouble and went into limp mode. Brought it into the local highly reputable (if there is such a thing) transmission shop. Pressures are off internally, electronics malfunctioning because of it. 4th, 5th and 6th gear pressure issues, plates about to go. Had a fluid flush at 100k. Went downhill from there.

GM knows these things are junk from the very beginning when GM and Ford partnered to build this tranny and Ford walked away knowing it wouldn't last. TCM inside the housing itself where it most certainly is too hot for electronics. Plates not hardened. What do you expect to happen?

Anyway, has anyone had any luck with GM getting them to help with the repair cost? $3000 was the quote for us.

Any other ideas? Thoughts? Prayers?

Thanks all! I may post this in the Acadia forum as well....

Is the cause from the 3-5-R waveplate failing? Special coverage through 120,000 miles. Contact GM customer service as they may not cover work done at an Independent shop.
