Hello, I'm new to this forum. I was just wondering if a transmission software update would solve the problem of my Outlook bogging down/having no power between the speeds of 40-50mph. I've only had it for 7 months and I have no idea if this software update was ever done. I'm going to assume not. I've been reading on here that there was a software update released on May8, 2008 with campaign number 08-07-30-022. Is this true? I'm going to the dealer on March 26 for oil change, tire rotation, 27 point inspection and to get that new recall that involves the timing belt taken care of. When I was talking to them on the phone I also mentioned the software update to the transmission and he acted like I didn't know what I was talking about. So when I go in there on the 26th I don't want to feel stupid, I want to know what I'm talking about with confidence. See, we're getting ready to drive my Outlook from Ohio to Florida in April and I want it running at it's best for that long trip!! Can anyone help me with this information? Thanks!!

I have a 2010 Traverse so I cant help you...
But you will learn alot if you go read on the Acadia and Enclave forum- as they used the same trans and engine and owners over there also got the software updates...

I make it a habit of surfing all the sister sites- as the vehicles are all using the same parts underneath (for the most part)

There is a flash update issued in 2008. The 07 Outlook I had didn't get this flash update until last August. Just go in and have the service manger check the history on your vehicle to see if this update was applied. It solved pretty much the same problems you are experiencing.

Took my 07 Outlook to the Dealer and they replased several of my gears including the reverse. If you are under 100,000 miles you should have it checked.
What issues were you having with your transmission?
