We've got 1181 OUTLOOK forum members, where are they all at? Maybe if everyone reads this and post one new topic or comment on one that is currently posted this board would be hoppin :thumb:.

I agree. I don't even own one anymore but I still look for topics that can help me or help them.

Since the very beginning, this forum has been less busy than my others. I've always attributed it to other Saturn forums that did a good job of covering OUTLOOK news and info, unlike other GMC and Buick forums. As long as we have OUTLOOK owners out there looking for info, though, they can get it here :)

I still have mine. Approaching two years and 25k miles.

Only repair has been the software upgrade for the nav radio.

Average MPG since 3rd fill-up is 20.3 (calculated), 20.4 (DIC).

I'm very happy with it. I keep trolling these Lambda forums for a suitable bluetooth solution.

90% of my highway miles come from the Indiana Turnpike. Going to/from NW Ohio to visit family.

I can't wait until they get 80 finished by 65!

And, with Ohio Turnpike now using IPass, I don't need to take any cash.

I'm still around as well and since I plan on driving the wheels off the outlook I am going to continue to stick with this forum. to the creators of this forum as well as the other lambda platform sites tied to this one.

I think because the Outlook has been around the longest, the topics are now starting to be more negative than positive. Usually about people upset with Saturn going away, the resale values of their rides, and a good percentage are upset with problems they have had, because most have a lot of miles by now....so I've not looked at this forum as much as the other three, because of these reasons. Plus, it's not as active....there may be only a few new posts per day, and the other ones are active most every day, the topics keep being updated. Also, people are not buying new Outlooks now, so there are no new members coming to "freshen" the topics....so it gets a little stale. (However, you all have been on here way longer than I have...I have been on the Enclave forum (kidsenclave) since 08, and have over 1000 posts....but that's mainly because that's my exact vehicle. I've posted the least here on the Outlook forum, but there has still been useful information....I always check in to see if I can share any input, or any new information....the Outlook, since it's the first one of the Lambdas, will most likely experience any issues before the rest, only because of time and miles....so it's interesting to see what's to be expected down the line for any of us Lambda owners.

09Enclave, you live close to LDT dont you? If you do maybe the next time that you drive by see if you can spot 500- 2010 OUTLOOK's in the lot. Were trying to find out where they are at. Some on the other Saturn OUTLOOK forum think that all went rental Co's.

I'm never over that side of town. The plant is kind of tucked away, from anything else...not something you just drive by, you have to specifically go there. (I did, however tour the plant last year....very cool!) I bet you are right, they probably are for rentals.

Ya, I've driven by a hundred times on the way to go back home and I always try and see what I can see as I drive by. Limited production 2010 OUTLOOK might have a value in 20 yrs, who knows probably not :p.

If cars changed every year like in the 50's thru 70's, then perhaps...but I'm afraid that just because there's only 500 2010's, that's not enough to give a bigger collector car value.

2 reasons for more action

1. More people who did own one are offing them and need to vent

2. Other people are buying them and feel the need to vent on there problems

Like theclarkfam I intend to drive the wheels off this one. So, I am more than casually interested in not only the issues on this Lambda but also reading about the high points (positive) experiences by others here. Kinda' think the idea of regularly jumping in to say hi is good but I also believe the majority of the folks who have these Lambdas, in particular the Outlook, are out there driving 'em trouble free and living life.

I make a point of surfing all the Lamda sites and just don't jump out to post unless I can contribute and possibly make a difference/help.

I try to initiate my posts here first and if a benefit exists in the other Lambdas will post a link there. I agree with 09Enclave...new Outlooks are no more so no new "NEWBIES". When an Outlook owner that has been chasing issues and not getting them resolved finds this site, he/she will want the "world" to know of his/her dissatisfaction.

The importance of all these Lambda sites is the commonality of drivetrain and equipment options and therein lies the "safety net" for us Outlook Lambda owners.

Thanks for keeping this one alive

Just my .02.

Regards,

Jim

Newbie's will happen as people buy used and want to find out more. If we don't keep this site active, when they come here they wont stay. I like the idea of posting here first and putting a link on the other sites for people to come here and see. Saturn customers are and always will be a unique breed. I feel I am still one even though I own an Acadia now (still have a Saturn Aura and owned a previous Saturn). I still love the Outlook, but just didn't trust how everything would work out with mine being a boat.

Jim, Ken

To good posts :thumb:. It's a great way to look at it and a great way to get "business" over here. I hang out on the other forums way more than here only because of the activity on the others, it can get kind of lonely here. There will never be the #'s here as the others because of the popularity and the total #'s produced and that's O.K. we'll keep what we got and any newbies along the way :thumb:. K was right we are a unique breed of owners. The real Saturn fanatics are the ION and VUE guys over http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/index.php. If there is a way to fix or modify it you can find it over there. I enjoy these forums, it gets me away form the :whip: .

FWIW: I visit this forum, along with the Acadia forum because your Lambdas have been around the longest, and any issues that may come along, for sure you've come across them. I treat all the Lambdas as the same, regardless of what the outside skin, and interior detailing is. I understand they are the same mechanically, so the important things will be discussed on any of the forums, and will apply to all. I will never feel that my Enclave is anything above an Outlook, Acadia, or Traverse that's just foolishness (some of you paid more for your Outlooks, then my CX $35,840 MSRP Enclave...so it really doesn't matter)....but I chose the Enclave for various reasons, looks, standard features and option packaging, longer warranty, dealer, but I was considering all 3 (Traverse wasn't quite out yet when we were seriously looking, but I kind of considered that as well, just didn't want to wait ;D). Sorry the Outlook isn't being made anymore, and too bad there's not more action on this forum, but I understand there are so fewer owners, just makes sense. What I find facinating is how different the audience is on the 4 forums, in general...for sure there are several, myself included, who are on all 4, but the general tone is a little different on each, which makes them all fun, and unique. I won't try and give my own analysis, but I'm sure you all kind of know, if you've been on the other forums, that each has a little different feel to it.

I hope they continue to keep this forum alive, nice to hear all the experience, good and bad.
