Where's the PS fluid reservoir on the Outlooks?

Underneath the engine cover. Remove the oil cap, and then remove the engine (beauty) cover. The cover is held on with grommets, so just pull up to release.

Don't you need to remove the oil filler cap on the Outlooks? You do on the Acadias.

Yes, you do. Note that I modified my instructions... thanks for spotting the omission. Still don't understand the rational for making the oil cap a larger diameter than the cover hole diameter :banghead:

I agree that it isn't the best design. Removing the oil filler cap is just asking for something to fall in there.

Agreed... I always re-install the oil cap when the engine cover is off just as a precaution.

One time I removed the cap- and when I looked into the oil fill hole---
the shiny metal below-- had signs of little particles... WTF?

TUrns out- that the area where the cover and the cap meet-- is perfect for catching very small rocks/sand etc..
when you open the cap- some can fall in...

Knowing this-- everytime im going to undo that cap-- I blow into that area to blow out any of that debris thats accumulated there...

dont need little stuff falling into the engine/oil.

Looking at the engine without the cover, is the only way to get to the plugs and coils is by removing the intake manifold?

I think it was Ponchonutty that was able to remove the plugs without removing the manifold...
Though I think he has a NON DI engine....

The DI may have a different manifold?

Thanks. Those drawings are something I hope that I never need, but they are good to have.
